Preparation

Pomegranate-agave cordial: stir 60 ml unsweetened pomegranate juice, 30 ml Sammy agave and 10 ml fresh lime juice until uniform. Chill. This is a fresh grenadine-style preparation with agave instead of added sugar syrup. Agave working mix (one part agave to three parts water): stir 10 ml Sammy agave with 30 ml water until uniform. Use the measured working mix listed for this drink, not the same measure of neat agave. Make fresh for the session, refrigerate promptly and keep chilled until use.

Make the cocktail

1. Chill a small V-shaped cocktail glass. Combine all measured liquids in a shaker and stir once.

2. Add solid ice and shake sharply for 6 seconds, then fine-strain into the chilled glass; the working mix already contributes water.

3. Add a small lime wheel at the rim.
