10 ml unsweetened white grape juice

30 ml fresh lemon juice

Preparation

Violet means a food-grade beverage syrup labelled alcohol-free, not creme de violette liqueur, perfume or essential oil. Verify the exact purchased product label and ABV. Violet working mix: stir 30 ml violet beverage syrup with 30 ml water. Use 15 ml of this working mix for the drink, not the same measure of neat syrup. Increase lemon and agave together as listed; the working mix preserves the restrained violet-syrup dose. Make fresh for the session, refrigerate promptly and keep chilled until use.

Make the cocktail

1. Chill a small coupette.

2. Shake all measured ingredients with solid ice for 6 seconds; the violet working mix already contributes water.

3. Fine-strain into the chilled glass and add the lemon twist.
